2025

How we envision the future 

We envision a future where sustainable, nutritious, and innovative pulse-based solutions transform the way the world consumes and thrives.

We aim to become the leading company in Europe for plant based ingredient systems. Like that, we contribute our part to a more sustainable food system by offering our customers an easy & cost-efficient way to start or enlarge their plant based product portfolio. 

 

2024

How it’s going 
 

Everyone loves hummus, but we quickly learned that the real challenge for plant based foods is meeting the high expectations from consumers. We experimented with many new products but realized, that high quality ingredients were the still missing piece.

That's why we started to experiment with extracting protein from pulses in a new, more gentle way. To do so, we started collaborating with the HES-SO in Sion and the team around Prof. Michael Beyrer.

We decided to shift our focus from being a B2C brand to a B2B ingredient supplier. Currently, we're working hard on scaling up our technology and delivering product to first clients in the alternative dairy space. 

2021-2023

How it all started 

All began with Anik during her agricultural studies not understanding why Swiss farmers couldn't grow more pulses themselves. She quickly teamed up with Lukas, our first farmer who started growing chickpeas for Fabas. We developed the first Swiss hummus and launched it in the first organic stores. 
From there, the story took off. We enlarged our product portfolio with plant based burger and falafels and started working with over 20 farmers to grow more pulses in Switzerland. After 2 years, our plant based portfolio was available in over 300 stores all over Switzerland.
